Blå Sommer 2009

At Blå Sommer 2009 you won't just meet Danish scouts and guides ... you will also meet scouts and guides from around the world.

Out of the estimated 20,000 participants, approximately 2000 will be from outside Denmark. As a foreign participant at Blå Sommer you will have the opportunity for many international experiences.

Scouts and guides from all over the world are invited and encouraged to come to Denmark and experience scouting the Danish way. Each scout unit will construct their own site, with all participants sleeping in tents and all your meals will be prepared over an open fire.

There will be a variety of activities at Blå Sommer. Activities at this Blå Sommer are focused on 'FUN'. This means that scouts and guides of all ages will have the opportunity for a great, eventful camp!

Usually Danish activities include pioneering, cooking over an open fire, games etc. At Blå Sommer 2009 there will be activities within the following themes:

  • Environment and climate
  • Scout and Guide Identity
  • 'WOW' activities - these are the large 'sign in' activities
  • Training - Scout Courses for leaders
  • Misc - Everything esle!

Activities will take place all over the campsite. During the day there will be 2 activity periods; 9am - 12pm and 2pm - 5pm. There will be some evening activities thought. Information about the place and time for each activity will appear in the activity catalogue.
